Trade Promotion with the Somali Chamber of Commerce.

As an active business supporter promoting trade, investment, innovative MSMEs development, and entrepreneurship development, we assisted over 200 business companies, chambers of commerce, and new entrepreneurs on agribusiness promotion, and export readiness, through training and business counseling. In collaboration with UNIDO, the Ministry of Commerce at the Federal and State levels, the Somalia Investment Promotion Office (SOMINVEST), the Somali Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), and other State chambers of Commerce, such as Southwest Chamber of Commerce and Hiran Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Bakar was selected among other experts to train the at least 300 existing and prospective agribusiness entrepreneurs as well as supporting around 600 individuals in starting a micro-enterprise or finding skilled employment, as a result of vocational and technical skills training delivered by one of the three projects supported ago- technology and enterprise development Units.
